Mode of action: The efficacy of Talaromyces as plant growth promoter can be attributed to the production of a number of important plant hormones including gibberellins (GAs), IAA and abscisic acid. Seed treatment with Talaromyces resulted in significant increases in growth characteristics such as root length, plant height, plant fresh weight and plant dry weight. The process of P-cycling is regarded as the main direct mechanism of growth promotion.
